The Department of Health of the City of Torre-Pacheco in collaboration with FAPA set in motion a course for parents of teenagers to improve family life.
The free course called "improving coexistence in the family" will be held at the Center for Performing Torre-Pacheco (CAES) Arts during the months of February and March (3, 10, 17 and 24 February and 3 March 10 ) 20 to 21:30 h.
This course provides parents, educational keys necessary for better performance of their parental role when their children are in adolescence.
The overall objective is to promote opportunities for contact and help them through the completion of activities, to acquire knowledge and skills to optimize communication in the family, encouraging personal development of children.
The specific objectives of the course are to report on the characteristics of adolescents, reviewing standards and rules of behavior, redistribute responsibilities, analyze formulas communication and conflict resolution, organizing free family time and prevent typical problems of adolescence.
The program is conducted through workshops in six sessions of an hour and a half, which correspond to the thematic blocks covering the objectives outlined above and containing 22 activities to be developed by the parents.
