Yesterday began the free course "Improving life in the family" in the Performing Arts Center Torre-Pacheco (CAES) and attended by 55 parents.
This course will be held during the months of February and March (10, 17 and 24 February and 3 March 10) from 20 to 21:30 h.
This course, which is organized by the Department of Health of the City of Torre-Pacheco in collaboration with FAPA, provides parents, educational keys necessary for better performance of their parental role when their children are at the stage of adolescence.
The overall objective is to promote opportunities for contact and help them through the completion of activities, to acquire knowledge and skills to optimize communication in the family, encouraging personal development of children.
The specific objectives of the course are to report on the characteristics of adolescents, reviewing standards and rules of behavior, redistribute responsibilities, analyze formulas communication and conflict resolution, organizing free family time and prevent typical problems of adolescence.
The program is conducted through workshops in six sessions of an hour and a half, which correspond to the thematic blocks covering the objectives outlined above and containing 22 activities to be developed by the parents.
