The Directorate General of Persons with Disabilities Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), under the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, intended to throughout this year 387,134.37 euros to finance the services provided by the Association of Parents of Disabled Physically, Mentally and Sensory 'PROMISE'.
The managing director of IMAS, Leopoldo Navarro, accompanied by the CEO on Aging IMAS, John Brown, as well as the mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Fina Marin, visited professionals and users of this association.
This entity was formed in 1996, and is integrated into the Federation of Mentally Handicapped of the Autonomous Community (FADIS) offers service Day Center and Center for Child Development and Early Intervention.
Thus, from the regional government subsidized with 359,285.36 euros Service Day Centre for people with intellectual disabilities, with 12 professionals, and which are now serving 31 people.
Also, 27,849 euros are invested in the Center for Child Development and Early Intervention to assist those children aged between zero and six years who have developmental disorders or at risk of suffering.
