This morning the Mayor of Torre-Pacheco, Fina Marin Otto and the President of AFAMMER Murcia, Carmen English, presented the project "Women and new technologies in the economic revitalization of rural areas", which aims to encourage entrepreneurship and the consolidation of future business projects for women in rural areas aimed at meeting an urgent and growing need what the care of the elderly located in rural areas without the need to leave that environment and as a key mechanism for economic revitalization of rural area.

The overall objective of the project is the creation of self-employment and / or social economy enterprises home help in aged rural areas and high dependency ratio.

Within the project "Women and new technologies in the economic revitalization of rural areas" a study that will be discussed will be made;

the needs of the aging population in rural areas under the project, the interest that rural women for self-employment and entrepreneurship of home help and training needs with these women in this area.

Further information program-training, advice and support will be organized rural women for creation and implementation of home help businesses accompanied by improvement program for 108 people kind of course based on the organization of 3 types of courses "Entrepreneurship" (1 through June 18), "social and civic competences" (from 2 to 25 March) and "Care and needs of elderly dependents" (from 8 to 30 April), to be held at the Civic Center Torre-Pacheco.

To register for these courses should go to the Department of Employment and Local Development of the City of Torre-Pacheco.

A virtual environment will be created to encourage motivation and skills of rural women, with the aim of generating self-employment or companies engaged in home care for aged persons in situations of dependency in rural areas, and to exchange experiences and best practices.

A working session with the participation of rural women with entrepreneurial spirit and the project partners and will be presented and discussed organizational business models and tools available to help women entrepreneurs in the performance of their new business (home care will be organized for aged dependents rural) used both in places of origin of the beneficiaries of the project as elsewhere we can move successful projects.
