The candidate of Unión Progreso y Democracia mayor of Torre Pacheco, Manuel Queiro says that "insecurity is one of the most emerging evils in our town", which stresses that "citizen involvement is essential to a municipality's safe ".
Queiro makes these statements after supporting, along with the number three municipal list, Rocío Asilah, the inhabitants of the neighboring town of Roland, which held a silent march through the town to demand more security and the creation of a police station national police.
In this sense, the candidate of UPyD also proposes the creation of a number of services to citizens "through which to send images or alert to suspicious behavior".
Also thinks that awareness among residents of the need to report when they suffer an assault, especially residents who make up the European community in the municipality.
Queiro explains that these, difficulties with language and ignorance of the system, among other factors, "cease to denounce these acts which prevents security forces claimed more media."
Both municipalities, Torre Pacheco and Roldán "suffer a serious security problem, with continuous robberies, something that must be resolved," concludes Queiro.
