In the morning, the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Fine Marin along with the Councillor for Culture, Teresa Roca, Director of the Center for Teaching Virgin Concerted Pasic I, Maria Rosa Martinez, along with the heads of the Department of Road Safety Education , inaugurated the school year 2015-2016 Driver Education.
The said act took place in the classroom of 4th A to that Teaching Center Concerted Virgen del Pasic I, and the students of this group were the protagonists of this simple act, moderated by the head of the Department of Driver Education, Salvador Martinez Lopez ..
Driver Education is a project of the deepest in the Department of Public Safety of the City of Torre Pacheco, because from 2003-2004, uninterrupted, a project covering almost all of the school year unfolds.
The activities are aimed at students from 8 to 12 years old, from 3rd to 6th of Primary Education, which receive three theoretical sessions in their respective classrooms, adapted to the age and course they do, working mostly in attitudes and behaviors, rather than on the skills and knowledge, but students do a simple test on basic knowledge of rules of behavior as pedestrian and Traveler, basics on the bike and driving the same, and the basics of signaling.
Also, students as part of these theoretical lessons, depending on the course doing work they perform, and a student of 3rd, you have to draw a picture of a person crossing a crosswalk, one of 4, has to work with a set 20 words related to road safety education, to expand vocabulary and knowledge about the bike, one 5th, has to make a drawing of a traffic environment, which should know locate the five groups of traffic signals;
6th and one has to make a demo, called "My people, my neighborhood."
Finally, starting in February, students move to the Children's Traffic Park Torre Pacheco, which put into practice the lessons learned in their classrooms, and have the opportunity to evolve as pedestrians and bicycles drive both as karts that are in the Children's Traffic Park.
In this course 2015-2016, involved 11 schools and Primary Education of the municipality of Torre Pacheco, with 89 different groups, 3rd to 6th grade, and according to lists provided by the various participating schools in the project, will be 1,969 children beneficiaries of this project Driver Education.
