The City of Torre-Pacheco has presented today the contents of the seventh edition of the International Film Festival for Diversity "Andoenredando", to be held between the 5th and 14th of November in the municipality of Murcia.
The Festival will award prizes for Best Short Fiction Film, Best Short Documentary, Best Short Film Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Youth for Diversity and the International Award for Best Short Film Jury.
The Festival, which began in 2009, has a clear cultural dimension, bringing new audiences to the cinema as a vehicle for artistic expression and social communication and supporting and promoting the work of directors, producers and performers.
It also has a strong social component, as is to sensitize the general population about different social issues, such as child care, domestic violence, poverty and exclusion, disability or discrimination gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation, with a particular emphasis on promoting ethnic and cultural diversity resulting from migration through the dissemination of short films and documentaries with social content.
As for the competition requirements include, among others, that the genre of short-fiction or documentary, produced after January 1, 2013 and not exceeding 30 minutes in length, including credits.
They must also develop a theme of social content.
Registration will be until 24:00 on April 27, 2014, through platforms Movibeta festival management (for the presentation of Spanish and Latin American films) and Festhome (for the rest of shorts).
