The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, will invest a total of 1,629,624 euros to improve the road F-21, Torre Pacheco Los Martínez del Puerto, and adapt its path to goal of reducing the number of accidents on this stretch.
The work is in process of drawing up of reports prior to the occupation of the land, as recorded by the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia on 13 November.
The almost two miles of road layout F-21, which connects the A-30 to the hamlet of Roland by Los Martínez del Puerto to Torre Pacheco, have tight bends that hinder the flow.
After completion of the works will be provided with the intersections of central lanes of left turn and speed change lanes for right turns and allow the change of direction.
Currently, this route presents Average Daily Traffic (ADT) of 2,921 vehicles and 330 trucks.
Therefore, the action reflects the need to adapt the characteristics of the stretch to the existing traffic conditions in the area, as the combination of a path not suitable and heavy traffic make it a leg accident concentration.
The Director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, said that this work "will improve the movement of vehicles and increase road safety in the area, which is an objective of the Regional Council through the Conservation Plan of the Roads of regional ownership."
