The College of Education and Primary Our Lady of the Rosary, Torre Pacheco, next year will have new facilities with modern units and adapted to the needs of the 680 students currently enrolled, and 439 241 in Children in Primary.
The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, accompanied by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, today laid the foundation stone for the new school, located on Avenida Gerardo Molina.
Sotoca said the center "is located a strategic growth area for the city, which will become a multidisciplinary educational space", since, in the same environment is the Secondary School Luis Manzanares, the Municipal Sports Centre and Library Municipal public.
The construction of this new school, said the head of Employment, "is an example of the work and investments made by the Department to improve and strengthen the network of schools in the region, in order to adapt to the needs of school "so that, as announced, the next course is planned investment worth 36.7 million euros to build 14 new centers in twelve municipalities and many other renovations.
Sotoca Constantine also noted that the improvement of facilities and construction of schools, is "a commitment to quality education" and to that end, have launched programs such as XXI Plumier, through which lines are improved ADSL communications in schools and provides network coverage 'wifi' in all cases.
The new school of Torre Pacheco have 27 classrooms, with three lines in the nine educational levels, and different rooms for audio-visual, musical, computer, speech and language, and psychomotor.
The building will also have a function room and garden area with a climbing wall for extracurricular activities, all located on a parcel of 12,000 square meters.
The planned investment for the construction of the center is 4,010,496 euros, financed entirely by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment.
