Thanks to the European project 'Sunrise' next March will be a pilot course tutors companies in the agricultural environment of Torre Pacheco CIFE
Integrated Training Center and Agricultural Experiences (CIFE), Torre Pacheco today held a workshop on training of tutors in companies that host students of vocational training, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, which was attended by Dutch speakers Finnish experts in this type of educational practice and advisors of the Center for Language and Communication Mar Menor and FCT group teachers (Training at Work) of CIFE, among others.
This activity is included in the European project 'Sunrise', funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci, and coordinated by the Instituto Murciano Research and Agricultural Development and Food (IMIDA).
To this project are associated the CIFE Torre Pacheco and other professional training organizations in the Netherlands, Finland, Bulgaria and Latvia.
IMIDA director, Adrian Martinez, explained that this initiative is "innovative" in Spain, and VET students who develop placements are supervised by a teacher from their school and a mentor to the company makes its provision.
In countries like the Netherlands and Finland the company tutors are trained through a course which aims to make them understand the importance of their role in the training of young people and provide them with information and tools to facilitate their teaching work.
The project 'Sunrise', next March will be a pilot course tutors farming sector companies in the CIFE of Torre Pacheco, and the Day today is the basis for preparation.
Martinez added that the IMIDA and Torre Pacheco CIFE "have a long history of involvement in European training projects, research and technology transfer."
In this regard, he noted that the project 'Sunrise' "is adapted and implemented innovations in European systems of other conditions associated with a focus on training of trainers."
It is envisaged that the final results of the project, with a grant from the European Commission EUR 222,400, are presented in Murcia next October.
