The Minister of Presidency and Public Administration, María Pedro Reverte, and the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, today visited the construction of the new Town Hall of the municipality, which began last January and they have a grant of 1,087,500 euros by the Autonomous Community.
The new building, whose works completed in early 2011, will have five floors and two basements for parking to be attached to the basement of the Day Centre, located opposite the building, which will create a public plaza between two buildings.
The project envisages the construction of new building and empowerment of it with the equipment necessary to provide municipal services.
It is located in a city-owned plot of 3,450 square feet bounded by the streets Cartagena, Juan León, Paseo and Calle Villa Esperanza Leon Lino Martínez.
The project reaches an operating budget of 14,544,267 euros, of which EUR 1,087,500 has been provided by the Ministry of the Presidency and government through the Directorate General of Local Government.
To Reverte, the new infrastructure will "improve services provided to citizens and attention it receives" and reminded that "these grants meet one of the main objectives of the regional government to support municipalities in the provision of various services taking into account the population growth and the crisis situation we live. "
