A thousand people attended this afternoon at the municipal sports Roldan, Torre Pacheco, the Day XXV Senior Living, chaired by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana.
The director was joined by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, the Mayor of Fuente Alamo, María Antonia Conesa, the managing director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Miguel Angel Miranda, and Senior General Manager, Paloma Recio.
Those in attendance are in senior centers in the region of Cartagena-Mar Menor, the municipal centers of Torre Pacheco, Fuente Alamo and San Javier, as well as the IMAS centers of La Union, I Cartagena, Cartagena II, San Javier, Puerto de Mazarrón and Roldan.
Day has become a day of meeting people from different centers, including those who have established close ties of friendship, and use the occasion to elaborate and varied traditional rice, tasted by those attending the event.
After an awards ceremony, the Minister Bascuñana thanked the attendees and noted that "the day is a leisure that allows older, one year, fraternization between the various participating institutions."
Bascuñana also referred to the work that is being developed from his department to provide services and infrastructure required for dependents.
In this regard, he stressed that one of the main objectives is to promote personal autonomy.
To this end, the IMAS, in the Contest organized activities, both programs is promoting tourism as a workweek senior theater major.
The counselor invited everyone to attend the next Festival, organized by the School Bullfighting in Murcia, Plaza de Toros de Murcia, consisting of a bullfight fought by the most outstanding students of the center.
