The ceremony was chaired by Councilwoman-Delegate of Culture of the City of Seville Mrs. Ms. Maribel Montaño and was attended by the Executive Councillor for Education and Culture of the Municipality of Torre Pacheco, Ms. Ms. Araceli Martínez Roca, the founder of the Festival, Sebastian Escudero, the director, Francisco Aparicio, Director of the Board of Culture of Torre Pacheco, D.
Luis Arts, the Director of the Bienal de Sevilla, D.
Domingo Gonzalez, the Warden of the Alcazar in Seville and several flamenco artists.
Ms. Maribel Montaño, greeted the participants, welcoming them to Sevilla on behalf of Mayor D.
Alfredo Sanchez and thanked to be granted to the City of Sevilla Gold Medal, the highest honor awarded by the Festival Ferreño and will receive the Mayor of the capital of Seville, in the semifinals of the day Gala August 28 in Lo Ferro.
For its part Ms. Araceli Martinez thanked the host of the Corporation Seville and announced plans in the short term remains to enhance the City Festival Cante de Lo Ferro, such as the construction of new outdoor auditorium.
Festival Director made a presentation of the XXX edition, and indicated that coincide with the 30th Anniversary of the Festival, will perform three tributes: one to Marife de Triana for his long career, covering the artist on Saturday 22 August at a Gala Flamenco and couplings.
Another tribute made to the city of Seville as mentioned above and a third to Manuel Prisons "The Patiñero" who shared the stage in the 2008 edition with Fosforito, died a few days.
He also thanked the Seville Biennial organizing the presentation of the Festival and invited the Director at the conclusion of the "30 Anniversary".
