A total of 17 people received certificates attesting to their participation in the I and II training courses for volunteers, developed in collaboration with the Department of Social Services and Volunteer Hall of Torre Pacheco.
The diplomas were presented by the aldermen of the two areas mentioned, Fulgencio Saura Sanchez and Jose Cobacho Meroño.
The aim of these courses was to provide attendees of the technical and legal knowledge necessary to carry out any activity under the voluntary social work in different areas.
These courses, which have assisted people of all ages, are the first step in Torre Pacheco creation of a "bag" of volunteering, composed of persons who have both the will and the necessary training to assist as others, individually or participating in collective activities
The voluntary action involves the interest and shared responsibility of many citizens to improve the living conditions of their community through solidarity activities, support activities, entertainment and leisure, cultural, sporting, with different groups (elderly with disadvantaged children, people at risk of social exclusion etc.)
