The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, and the Director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, opened yesterday at the Municipal Library of Torre Pacheco, the group exhibition 'The underside of the gaze', organized by the Laboratory of Art Young (LAB), brings together artists David Murcia Murcia, Pedro Noguera, Tatiana Abellán, Miguel Florido, Juan Ramon Gonzalez and Martinez.
The exhibition includes the work of six authors united by a common concern of reality, the body and contemporary images.
Although from different approaches, share the idea that reality is complex and incomprehensible and communication, through the work of art, has an enigmatic character.
Juanjo Martínez A review of the baroque idea of a skull and shows some self-portraits in oils where the skull is intertwined with an ambiguous portrait of the author himself.
In the paintings of David Murcia, large format, the characters show patterns of behavior in contemporary society.
On the other hand, Tatiana Abellán presents a series of pieces that photographically analyze death and progressive breakdown of skin tissue under the microscope.
The relationships between the behavior of birds and social behaviors focus the work 'concreteness' of Miguel Florido.
Finally, Ramon Gonzalez puts the viewer in a mysterious atmosphere through the sound piece 'Zero' and Pedro Noguera, considering different situations in which violence against the individual's identity constructed through the images of the media.
The exhibition will be on display in the exhibition hall of the Public Library of Torre Pacheco until 30 October.
