The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, today inaugurated the new Health Centre of Torre Pacheco-West, the second of its kind in the locality.

The health center has been built on a plot donated by the city council has a total area of 2,777 meters square, divided into a basement and two floors.
The new units have 24 queries: 7 for family medicine, 6 nurses, 2 pediatric, 1 child nurses, 1 midwife, 1 physiotherapy, exercise therapy room 1, 1 and 1 cures and diagnostic technique extractions with 1 room, 1 Minor Surgery, 1 breast, 1 social worker's office and several lounges.
In the facilities also offer services Maternal Education, Preparation for Childbirth, Family Planning, Child Care Program and Minor Surgery, as well as health and social care and service for collection, transportation of laboratory samples and return of results and customer user.
The new units also have data network throughout the building, which enables the use of computerized medical record, and its connection with other healthcare facilities.
Also, in the last four years, the regional government has invested heavily in the municipality of Torre Pacheco to modernize and adapt their health infrastructures to the new reality that involves the population growth of the town.
