Last Sunday, November 15, held the seventh round of information, awareness and clearance Cabezo Gordo, a natural element of high environmental interest, historical and cultural.
For this reason the last seven years have held open days and awareness and clearance Cabezo Gordo, where year after year it brings together so many selfless people who work in conservation and environmental improvement.
It should be noted that this past Sunday about 400 people in the Region of Murcia, Torre-Pacheco and the UK.
Due to the success of previous editions participation, there were many activities.
Team volunteers collected organic waste, plastics, glass, cans ... the caves were cleaned and conditioned the paths.
There was also a photo competition, which signed up 10 people and the prizes will be awarded on November 25 at 20:00 pm in the CAES.
Awards will also be the municipality's schools collected more waste.
The awards are:
-1st prize € 1000, for IES Sabina Mora de Roldán
-2 º € 500 prize for the IES Luis Manzanares
-3rd prize of 300 €, paar IES Gerardo Molina.
All participants were given a picnic.
Throughout the day there were information stands on environmental volunteering, environment and protected areas in the Region of Murcia.
The amount of waste collected was 200kg in total.
Every year we see that the Cabezo Gordo is much cleaner and more people are aware of the environment.
