Caritas since 1 October, the campaign has been developing the "Torch of Solidarity" at the entire diocese.
It is a campaign that aims to sensitize everyone about the importance of solidarity in times of crisis.
For this and until December 12, different torches are covering the municipalities of our region.
One of those torches come our people tomorrow Saturday, November 21.
Last week, the torch was in Palma, so in collaboration with the Municipal Sports council of Torre Pacheco, a march was organized rider to pick up the torch to the church of La Palma and bring it to town Torre-Pacheco.
The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García Madrid, representing the county, received the Torch Development, in City Hall Plaza.
During this week the torch will be in our town and visit schools and colleges to sensitize children and youth about the importance of solidarity.
In addition, we have prepared special catechesis for young people and children.
A Mass was held Saturday and next Friday will be a prayer vigil, which will be the last act in the presence of the torch in our town.
During this week we collected food in schools, and donations to further the work of Caritas parish.
