The City of Torre-Pacheco, through its Department of Health and framed in the Municipal Plan for the Prevention of Drug Addiction has launched a program aimed at leisure healthy children and adolescents in 6 districts of the municipality.
The program was developed in collaboration with schools in the Jimenado, San Cayetano, Balsicas, Roland, Dolores de Pacheco, and Meron.
This program consists of healthy leisure in the implementation of 18 workshops, which aim, in each of its blocks, to reflect teens' attitudes and behaviors have for themselves and to others by acting directly on risk factors for drug use, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
This is a quality proposal with a clear educational purpose, which puts the emphasis on values such as work environment are: the promotion of healthy lifestyles, harmony, improved social skills, promote common interests and ties friendship, the value of belonging to a group, children and youth revitalizing the town, respect the environment, etc.
It thus responds to the need to provide quality alternatives to children and youth to educate them in a healthy leisure, avoiding exposure to risk factors and developing habits incompatible with drug use: the practice of sports, environment, games, creativity and the arts, and the relationship with peers.
This guided by a team of 3 professionals, social workers, trained in the field of drug prevention.
In this program, which began on January 18 and running through June in the afternoon for 2 hours per week, are taking a total of 140 children and young people from seven schools in the districts of the municipality of Torre Pacheco.
