The Departments of Public Works and Planning and Culture and Tourism collaborate in the reconstruction of the House in Torre Pacheco Fontes, located at the fairgrounds IFEPA, which will be converted into the City Museum and Historical Archive.
And technical representatives of the Ministry, accompanied by the Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Daniel García, today visited the works.
The reconstruction of the building, whose structure is already up, running on an ancient residence of the Marquis de Torre Pacheco built in the late nineteenth century, which will be converted into a cultural space that will retrieve the image of the old building, integrating it into the urban environment of the population.
The action involves the rehabilitation of the property for public use, helping to recover the historical and cultural heritage of the municipality.
Public Works has funded reconstruction with 682,530, while the Ministry of Culture has contributed 450,000 euros.
The new space will feature a total area of 3,245 meters squared, of which 2,120 and 1,125 correspond to the building exteriors.
The property will be distributed over three floors, a ground floor which was the reception area which gives access to three of the museum exhibition areas, two inside and a large outdoor area.
The Historical Archives located in this plant will have a large area for storage of documents, and work and consultation rooms.
The building also will feature a multipurpose conference room, cafeteria and a garden area for outdoor activities.
The first and second floor exhibition halls will have to serve on the museum display.
